Inquiry submissons now published online
The Inquiry into Past Forced Adoptive Policies and Practices has now published the submissions they received, on their website.
There are many submissions from individuals impacted by adoption and organisations in Western Australia.
Some organisational responses arcs considers to be of interest are:
- arcs
- Department of Communities
- Department of Health - including King Edward Memorial Hospital and Kensington Hospital
- Ngala - previously known as 'House of Mercy', 'Alexandra House for Women' and 'Ngala Mothercraft Home and Training School'
- Relationships Australia - who are responsible for the federally funded Forced Adoption Support Service (FASS)
Many of the submissions can be distressing to read so we encourage everyone to be mindful of the impact reading them may have.
